Summary

  • All key cohort dates are set in your course settings.

  • Until you have your Cohort launch campaign turned on, no emails are sent to students when you update key dates.

  • One you have your launch campaign connected to a cohort that is open for enrollment, the emails use variables that are tied to dates you set in your course settings.

How to set your key dates

Dates are an important part of your course, and all courses must have a start and end date to be able to start enrolling students. The cohort start and end dates will display on your course landing page, and you will set and update these dates in the Settings tab of your course admin dashboard.

Dates to set:

Cohort Start Date - the first day of your course. This might be your first live workshop or cohort orientation date. This date shows on your landing page.

Cohort End Date - this is the final day of your course. This also shows on your landing page.

Application Deadline - (present in courses using an application) this is the last day for students to submit an application to your cohort if you are using one. You can customize this to a certain hour and minute. We recommend setting this date about 2-3 days before your cohort starts so you can review applications and accept students.

Payment Deadline - this is the last day students can pay for their enrollment in your course. You can customize this to a certain hour and minute. We recommend setting this as the same day you cohort starts so students can enroll on the first day of your cohort if needed.

Student Portal Open - the first day students can access your course syllabus, the cohort network, and any linked resources or communities. Until this date, enrolled students will see a countdown timer to your course Start Date. We recommend opening your portal about 2-3 days before your cohort starts and sending a Welcome announcement or email when it's opened.
