Maven's "Private cohort" feature simplifies the process of creating and selling a private cohort to a company.

Private cohorts let you offer tailored cohort experiences to company groups using all of Maven's payment, syllabus, and course management features.

Private cohorts are unlisted on your course landing page. Buyers can purchase multiple seats at once at a discounted price via a direct purchase link, and can manage attendees (add or remove enrollees) on a self-serve page.

Once you have discussed a private cohort with a client company, use the following two steps to create and share the private cohort purchase page:

Create a private cohort

To create a private cohort:

  1. Click on the Create cohort button at the top of your settings page

  2. Select YES in the Private cohort section

  3. Choose a descriptive name and URL for the cohort - something the purchaser and team members at the client company will recognize.

As with all new cohorts, you can duplicate the content from an existing cohort, or start from scratch.

Share a direct purchase link

Once the cohort has been created, you can create and share a direct payment link that points to this specific cohort, optionally prefilled with a specific number of seats so that Maven's Bulk Seats feature automatically discounts the price.

You can find the Direct payment link feature on the Settings page sidebar, fill in the number of seats, then copy and share the link with the purchaser.

The purchaser will be taken to a checkout page for this specific cohort. They can edit the number of seats, and the price will adjust automatically based on the discount amount.

Post-purchase, they will be taken to a screen where they can add or remove attendees to the cohort.
