Maven automated emails

Once you've published your Lightning Lesson, Maven sends a series of automated emails to your signups which are personalized/dynamic based on your course & lesson content and the user's preferences. These automated emails simplify operations for you, so you don't need to send as many emails manually. Click the toggles below to see an example email.

Immediately after signup: A confirmation email with a calendar invitation

Subject: ⚡️ You're in — [Title of your course]

2 hours before lesson: Reminder email before your lesson starts

Subject: ⚡️ [Title of your course] is starting soon

Immediately after your lesson ends: Your signups will be added to your waitlist. They may start receiving the Cohort Launch Campaign if you've turned it on.

A few hours after your lesson: Welcome email from Maven CEO (new users only)

Subject: Welcome to Maven, your home for live learning

48 hours after your lesson: Recording email with a link to your course. You can trigger this email manually to send sooner.

Subject: ⚡ Watch [Title of your LL] + more learning on Maven

1 week after lesson: Email promoting your course if you have an open cohort

Subject: Welcome from [Instructor Name]

Other triggers

  • Updated date & time: Maven will send an updated calendar invite to your signups

  • Canceled event: Maven will send an email that the lesson has been canceled

  • Note: updates to your title, description, name, bio, or Zoom link will not send a new calendar invite or email. For updated Zoom links, students will be automatically redirected when they join.

Send a broadcast email

You can send a broadcast email to your signups through Lightning Lessons - for example, before a lesson to remind them what you'll cover or after a lesson to share your course. Click here for templates of before/after emails.

  • Go to the Signups tab of your lesson here

  • Click + New Email
