We stand behind our courses and know that Maven instructors have designed amazing learning experiences for you. We want you to be satisfied with your course, and ensure Maven instructors are protected from fraud or misuse of the Satisfaction Guarantee. For the full details of our Satisfaction Guarantee and refund policies, please read below.
Courses eligible for the Satisfaction Guarantee
Courses with Maven's Satisfaction Guarantee badge (see below) are eligible. If you do not see this badge visible on the course's page, then it is not eligible for the policies outlined in this article. Instead, you should find an FAQ on the course page that details the specific refund policy for that course. In the rare case where you do not see a visible Satisfaction Guarantee badge on the course page, Maven will defer to the instructor's individual policy as outlined in the FAQ section.
Here is Maven's Satisfaction Guarantee badge:
Requesting a refund
If you're not satisfied with the course, you can request a full refund as long as you are within the eligible refund window for that course.
For courses shorter than four weeks:
You’re eligible for a full refund up to the midpoint of the course experience. For example, in a 20-day course, you may request a full refund through the first 10 days. For courses that run four weeks or longer:
You’re eligible for a full refund through the first two weeks of the course. After the second week, refund requests will only be considered on a case-by-case basis for exceptional circumstances.
After the eligible refund window has passed, refund requests are reviewed individually and are not guaranteed.
We do not honor retroactive price adjustments or price matching. We reserve the right to limit or deny refund requests at Maven’s sole discretion, such as in cases where we believe there is refund abuse.
Satisfaction guarantee and refund policy FAQs
How long do refunds take to process after they are approved?
All payments and refunds are processed through our payment partner, Stripe. Through Stripe, refunds can take up to 10 business days to complete and reflect in your account or on your card.
Can I get a refund on a different card than I used to pay?
No, we are only able to refund the original payment method.
What if I want to request a refund after the eligible refund window has passed?
Under our policy, refunds will only be processed within the eligible refund window for the course, including before the course begins.
For courses shorter than four weeks, this window lasts through the course midpoint. For courses that run four weeks or longer, this window lasts through the first two weeks of the course.
If you have an extenuating request outside of this window, you can email [email protected] with the full details of your request. We review these requests on a case-by-case basis and may connect with the course instructor before making a final decision
I enrolled in a course, and then afterwards noticed the price decreased. Can I get a discount applied retroactively to my enrollment?
We do not offer retroactive discounts or partial refunds if a lower price becomes available after a student has enrolled. The price a student pays at the time of enrollment is the price they are committed to, regardless of any subsequent promotions or discounts.
